Brian is the artist formerly known as the lead singer of Uncanny X-Men, Tim fronts the Androids. Tim Henwood called Brian Mannix, or Brian called Tim, they really can’t remember.
The end result is a brand new album of brand old songs with Brian Mannix fronting The Androids. (The rumour of an album by Tim fronting Uncanny X-Men may also be in the facts, and if so, that will be amazing because I just made it up).
We at Yacht Rock Revival are paying tribute to the definition of 70's light rock, collecting our favourite sounds, songs and grooves from an era when 'smooth' meant everything. If you've ever heard The Doobie Brothers fronted by Michael McDonald doing "What A Fool Believes", that's Yacht Rock.
2021 CMAA ‘Golden Guitar’ award winners, The Weeping Willows (Laura Coates and Andrew Wrigglesworth) are a couple of old souls, steeped in Bluegrass tradition and draped in Gothic Americana imagery. They regale their audiences with stories of sunshine and romance, God and The Devil, murder and decay. That kind of description might make them sound like some carefully contrived concept-act but there’s something truly different about The Weeping Willows: they really mean it. A Weeping Willows performance, whether live on location or caught on tape will always delight.
Australian pop singer-songwriter, Maxon, writes music stylistic of a diary entry; clandestine and forthright. Such confessional writing is bound to a vulnerable stage presence and a voice soaked in command, as Maxon's audiences witness the tale of the gifted singer and her battle through the trials and tribulations of love and its conditions.

Music has the ability to change people's moods; to influence people's emotions; to change their perspective on a situation or a feeling. Every single person on the planet can relate to music. You may have different tastes, or prefer a particular style, but everyone is influenced by music. Knowing that I can potentially make someone feel happy, or motivate someone, or give someone hope through doing what I love, excites me. It's powerful." - Daisy Spratt, 2016
